TSV Fortuna Sachsenross; Hannover, Germany

TSV Fortuna Sachsenross are a non-league side from Hannover, & I had a look at their ground back in December 2010. They curently compete in the Landesliga, which are the regional league, on the seventh rung of the German pyramid.

As you can see, it was rather cold when I approached the ground!

This is the way into the ground, with the ticket booth on the left.

Walking in the clubhouse is to the right.

Being a non-matchday midweek morning it was closed. But here we look to the outdoor area, which must be nice for an early or late season match in the sun.

As we enter the ground, we are along the side, near this corner. From here we see past the clubhouse & changing rooms, to this open end.

Across the pitch, to the open dugouts side.

To our left, down the near side, are a few steps of open terracing. This is the way we are going to walk round the ground, clockwise.

Moving on there is a row of seats at the back of some of the steps.

Past a hut, and then the tannoy box after it.

Glancing back at the terracing we've seen. The board on the front of the shed is the scoreboard.

Walking on, it's more open terracing, up to the corner of the ground.

Well not quite the corner. Past this point, and behind the goal, there is no standing area at all for spectators.

At the next corner, down this side the rail returns, and there is more terracing here, with a small grass bank behind.

The other side of the terrace is another open pitch.

Moving along, we are almost at the dugouts.

On the terracing between this one & the other, there are some plastic seats bolted onto the terrace.

Past the dugouts there are some more seats, atop the terracing.

On this side the terracing goes right up to the corner.

Behind this end it is railed off, but no hard standing, grass, with a footpath set further back.

Presumably some sort of shooting appliance, for training?

AFC Wallingford

AFC Wallingford compete in the North Berks League Division One, which is on the seventh rung of the English non-league pyramid. They are based at the Wallingford Sports Park, which is am ulti sport venue. I saw Dulwich Hamlet play here in the FA Youth Cup 3rd qualifying round in October 2010. It was a midweek match, so some of the photos aren't too clear in the dark, I hope this doesn't spoil your enjoyment of looking at them.

A sign at the entrance to the complex lists the various sports clubs that use the venue.

The rugby club have their own 'stand alone' board.

Which is very spacious inside, this is a small part of it.

Home to a skittles club.

Also a bar billiards table, you don't see many of those back home in London!

In the ground now, the entrance is in the corner. Her we see the open end, behind the near goal.

Along the side, which is where we sahll go round clockwise, is a tea bar, with two stands beyond it.

Past this is a small area of seating.

And then a covered terrace, with the club name smartly painted at the back.

The newer stand, from the other end of it. If you look carefully, past the first dustbin in this photo, you will see a black plaque on the front of the white wall. This run all the way down the side of the pitch perimeter. I didn't photograph them all...

This corner is set a bit of a way back from the pitch.

Now we're moving down the side.

Past the training goals.

And almost at one of the dugouts.

Now past that, we're nearly at our final corner of the ground.

We're getting there.
